Anna Franceschini (Italia, 1979). Her work has been presented and awarded in several film festivals among which are Rotterdam, Locarno, Torino and Milan. She took part in group exhibitions including Remap4, Athens; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin; MACRO Museum, Rome; Futura Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague and Villa Medici, Rome. Solo exhibitions include Peep Hole, Milan; Bielefelder Kunstverein (DE); Kiosk Gallery, Ghent; Objectif – Exhibition, Antwerp and Fondazione Bevilacqua la Masa, Venice. In 2011 her work was awarded with a mention of Honor at Ariane de Rothschild Prize – Milan, and she was the winner of the Fondazione Casoli Prize 2012, Fabriano (IT), the New York Prize 2012 (Ministero degli Affari Esteri) and the Terna Prize (IT). In 2013 she has been a resident artist at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam, the VIR/Viafarini In Residence, Milan and the ISCP program, New York. She will be resident artist at the MACRO Museum in Rome in 2014. Her works are in institutional and private collections such as the Museé National d’Art Moderne / Centre Georges Pompidou, MACRO Museum. She Lives and works in Amsterdam and Bruxelles. Anna Franceschini was awarded with a full scholarship offered by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy.
