The latest film by Polish artist Agnieszka Polska presents an alternative narrative of human-plant ecology, in which floral species and humans have coexisted in close symbiosis for millennia. The film combines AI-generated digital animations with analog footage shot on 16mm film, alternating between static and animated sequences of flowers in time-lapse accompanied by music and a voice-over narration. Blending documentary and science fiction, the work reflects on the notion of “environment” as both an organic and social construct.
