Tired of being trivial and ornamental, a statue comes to life at night and flees the Louvre for the streets of Paris. She runs into a protest march by the gilets jaunes. A police charge leaves her seriously disfigured. She steals a bicycle and returns to her marble pedestal. With eloquent special effects and animation, Abrantes mixes irony, emotion and political involvement in this short film full of pop aesthetics and surreal atmospheres. Gabriel Abrantes
